Private Site, Official Records

Boone County Busted Mugshots is a private information resource, not a government office. It cannot confirm a person's custody, release, arrest, warrant, booking, or court status. It cannot obtain or release a government record, correct an agency file, accept a public-record request, or provide legal advice. Questions about a particular person belong with the official custodian that holds the relevant record.

Emergency notice. Call 911 for an emergency or immediate danger. The contacts below are for records and non-emergency routing, not emergency response.

A Boone County event can lead to more than one record. The arresting agency may have an incident report, the sheriff may have a county-custody record, and the court may hold the later case. A state or federal custody system is separate. Use the contact that matches the record being sought instead of assuming that one office holds every document.

Boone County Jail Records

The Boone County Sheriff's Office is the official starting point for a Boone County Jail custody question, an existing booking record, or a question about whether a booking photograph was taken and is releasable. The office manages the county jail. Its official site did not expose a public roster, same-day booking feed, or stated photo policy, so a direct records and non-emergency inquiry is the verified path.

Boone County Sheriff's Office

217 S 5th Street
Albion, NE 68620

Records and non-emergency: 402-395-2144

Fax: 402-395-6517

Give the office a name, approximate date, and the event location or arresting agency. Ask whether the person was booked at the Boone County Jail, released, transferred, or placed in a different custody system. For a record request, identify the specific existing booking, release, transfer, or incident record sought. Do not assume an Albion, St. Edward, or Cedar Rapids event necessarily resulted in county jail intake.

County Open-Records Routing

The Boone County Clerk is the county forwarding route when it is unclear which department holds an existing public record. The county's FOI instructions direct a requester to the department in charge and allow the Clerk to forward a request when the custodian is uncertain. For a jail booking, direct delivery to the sheriff may reduce routing delay.

Boone County Clerk

222 S 4th Street
Albion, NE 68620

402-395-2055

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Keep a request narrow. Include a full name, bounded date range, agency, and the existing record or fields needed. The county describes actual material, duplication, medium, and equipment costs, rather than a set booking-photo fee. Nebraska public-record law generally provides an initial response framework of access, denial, or a written delay explanation within four business days. A complex request can still require an estimate, narrowing, or a lawful withholding.

Court Records and Case Results

Use the court path for a case filing, register of actions, hearing, or final disposition. The Nebraska JUSTICE search is the statewide trial-court case service. It is not a live jail roster or warrant confirmation. Search the relevant party, Boone County, court type, and case number where available. The service warns that new entries can have a 24-hour lag, and the current one-time name search has a $17 charge even when no result is returned.

Boone County District Court Clerk

222 S 4th Street
Albion, NE 68620

402-395-6184

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a lunch closure

The Boone clerk is the official local route for district and county court inquiries. District court primarily handles felony criminal matters, while county court handles misdemeanor and traffic matters. A missing search result can reflect a name variation, timing, court type, a sealed record, or restricted material. It does not establish a final legal outcome.

State and Federal Custody

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services search is the appropriate official tool when a person may be in state correctional custody, usually after sentencing and transfer. It is not a Boone County booking lookup. For an NDCS public-record request, the agency directs requesters to search existing records first and then make a written request through its public-records process.

For federal Bureau of Prisons custody, use the BOP inmate locator. For immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator, which follows its own identity and country-of-birth requirements. Neither locator is a Boone County Jail roster or a public archive of county booking photos. A federal or immigration record must remain identified by its own agency and custody authority.
